A custom handmade wedding ring....

Chris and Sara came to see me about making a pair of handmade wedding rings. A lovely couple but Sara's problem was her "shaped" engagement ring.

Her e-ring design, meant that she couldn't simply go and get an "off-the-shelf" wedding band. so what to do? I handmade this 18k white gold band , set with 5 3pt (2mm) diamonds.

The result is a truly unique ring as it will only ever fit her ring perfectly. A bit of a Cinderella's shoe type thing. Sure lots of girls could have got Cinderella's glass shoe on, but it would only ever fit one foot perfectly.

Wedding rings don't have to be round !

Just because you are getting married, doesn't mean that you have to settle for the regular round wedding band.

Sure, they are right for some, but others want a little bit of individuality.

Here is a great example. Made in 18k white gold, this ring's unusual shape was actually driven by the shape of the engagement ring.

So if you need or are looking for something a little bit ore individual, then track down a friendly local jeweller who can make you something from scratch, exactly as you want it.

Handmade Contemporary Engagement Ring

Liz came to see me to discuss her dream engagement ring.

Here is the result - three sparkling diamonds set into a bespoke ring design.

The ring is made from 18k white gold. The diamonds diminish in size starting with the largest at 3mm

I have already made the matching wedding band.

Wednesday Weddings

Another recent commission.

The majority of the ring is in platinum, with a small section of 18k white gold inset with a small "wave" detail engraved.

The beauty of using white gold next to platinum is the slight colour variation.

The ring was finished off with two flush set diamonds.

A recnet commission - Wednesday Weddings

Welcome to Wednesday Weddings. Here is a commission recently undertaken for Ruth and Martin.

Ruth had a rather beautiful, Art Deco style engagement ring with a green diamond flanked by two baguette diamonds.

The brief from Ruth was to create a wedding band with a cut-out section so that the two rings could nestle together nicely and to set it with two matching green diamonds.

I am afraid the lovely green colour of the diamonds is slightly lost in my photo.
