Here a very temporary ring made from bubbles.
It might not be practical. It might challenge what your perception of a ring is, but in essence , it is a ring.

Awesome! I just finished a 60-ring project for my 'material explorations' class.
Although none I made were quite as nice as the lovely one I just recieved from you! :-)
